#158 Marja de Sanctis

I’m a half Brazilian and Italian visual artist / illustrator based in London. I grew up in Brasilia and moved to Rome with my family where I gained a BA in Fine Arts. Then I moved to London where I studied illustration at the Camberwell College of Arts, London.

I usually work with traditional media such as acrylics, gouache, monoprints and ink on paper and I’m very fond of colour and mixing palettes that are good to the eye. My subjects are inspired by human stories, my everyday, podcasts and lyrics that I seek to represent through the use of metaphor, symbolism and a bit of humour.
